Engine zinc kit for Mercury F75-F115 engines

A zinc anode protects the iron and other metal parts of a boat against corrosion. The anode is installed below the waterline on the objects that you want to protect. Corrosion occurs electrochemically. When different metals are connected to each other, they act like an electric battery. The metals act as the terminals of the battery and the salt water connects these terminals. In such a combination, the baser metal always corrodes. Zinc is a baser metal in relation to iron, stainless steel, copper, brass, etc.

Zinc anodes should be checked every time the boat is lifted and replaced immediately if worn. The zinc anode is installed longitudinally in connection with the metal parts to be protected. The zinc anode must not be painted with boat primer.
